Food Drive

This year we had a competition between semesters to bring the most canned food. This year 4th semester won, by bringing over 60 cans, 5th semester was close behind them with the number of cans in the 40s. Fourth semester will be getting donuts in their first Tuesday class in one of the upcoming weeks. As the College of Nursing we were able to collect more than 100 cans to donate! Congrats again 4th semester!!!

Festival of Trees

Once again, we decorated a tree to donate to Festival of Trees this year. Creations ranging from band-aides, to prescriptions to syringes, covered this Christmas tree in the style of nursing. Stethoscopes, large medical syringes, the tree and tree skirt were donated by fellow members and faculty, which were "vital" to this masterpiece. It was a fun date-night activity which began getting all of us into the Christmas spirit!

The finished product!!!

Homecoming and Newborn kits

"The Healer's Art: The Cornerstone of Nursing" was the theme this year for the float. Friday afternoon we battled through the rain, making the signs and assembling the float for the parade. The next morning the board dressed up to show nursing through the ages on the float, holding signs to display service as the cornerstone including humanitarian aide, global health, and blood drives. Other members of SNA joined by handing out candy to the on-lookers of the float while wearing the nursing style of today. Afterwards we complied the all the newborn kits in less than 20 minutes! Overall, Homecoming was a definite success-THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP BYU CON!!

C2G- Choose to Give

As the sun was coming over the mountains, illuminating BYU and lighting up the Y in Provo, Utah, your SNA board members were flipping pancakes for Choose to Give week! Choose to Give is a program of students giving back to students. This year we put on a breakfast with pancakes and syrup, and orange juice. Students were offered the chance to donate towards the College of Nursing, or other funds for BYU which go back towards students. Last year, the College of Nursing was able to provide 16 full or half scholarships based on needs because of student donations. Hopefully this year, we will have similar success.

Blood Drive

We began the service projects with a blood drive this year, lots of people signed up to help and even more donated- Thanks to everyone with their help!!!

Involvapaloosa

Every Fall, BYU has an Involvpaloosa, where all the colleges and clubs go to Brigham Square and show their stuff. This year we had organs cutout of Justin Bieber and you could "throw a kiss" to cure him- a bago idea. This was just another way to remind people to sign up and learn more about SNA!

Opening Social: Aloha to another year!

This year we had another Luau! After Hawaiian Haystacks and prizes accompanied with soft Hawaiian music, all of us were full and happy. T-shirts to watterbottles were sold and new nursing students joined SNA. As the new board, we hope to start this year off right! Mahalo!!!
As people came, we greeted them with a lei.

Many people joined SNA at the Social
